CHAPS is hosting local artist, Dusty Stephenson, again this month! We will be doing Raku-style vases for this event. Get out of the house and have some fun with friends and family! Raku generally refers to a type of low-firing process that was inspired by traditional Japanese raku firing. Western-style raku usually involves removing pottery from the kiln while at bright red heat and placing it into containers with combustible materials. Once the materials ignite, the containers are closed.
Break free from cabin fever by having some art fun with friends and family at Luminous Brewhouse! Your ticket pays for the pottery, instructions/inspiration from Dustin, glaze and firing of the piece. All proceeds benefit CHAPS Equine Assisted Therapy.
